Music
Music is one of the most powerful and profound human activities that exists. At Little Parndon Primary Academy, we believe music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. A high-quality musical education engages and inspires students to develop a love of music, harness their talents as musicians and performers, and build their self-confidence, creativity, and sense of achievement and well-being.
At Little Parndon, music creates a sense of identity and self-worth, providing an outlet for creativity, self-expression, and individual uniqueness. For many of our students, music is transformative—performing music and playing their chosen instrument becomes an integral part of who they are, a passion they carry with them throughout their lives.
We promote a comprehensive musical experience for all students, fostering lifelong musicianship through a carefully crafted curriculum that spans listening, performing, and composing. By utilizing the Charanga Musical School scheme, we ensure our students receive an outstanding music education that caters to their individual needs and interests.
Charanga Musical School
Charanga Musical School is an award-winning primary music education programme that provides us with a rich array of resources to deliver high-quality curriculum music. It supports both music specialists and teachers without musical experience, enabling them to deliver engaging and effective music lessons. The platform offers over 25,000 resources, creative tools, and more, allowing us to mix and match materials to create a dynamic and personalised music curriculum.
Beyond the Classroom
Our musical activities extend beyond the classroom with extracurricular opportunities such as Rock Steady music tuition and performances. We also encourage participation in school concerts, assemblies, and community events, helping students showcase their talents and develop their performance skills.
At Little Parndon Primary Academy, music is held with high regard. By fostering a love of music and providing opportunities for creative expression, we aim to shape well-rounded, confident, and expressive individuals ready to make their mark on the world - shaping their future.
